Located on a fish stretch of the Truyere river at its confluence with the Lot river, Hotel La Riviere is ideally positioned in the heart of an increasingly popular tourist region. The landscape is one of deep forested river valleys which cut spectacular gorges, and of rolling hills between them. Some of the most beautiful villages in France (an official designation) are located in Aveyron and combine an amazing history with their visual delights. The home base and the castles of the Knight Templars are in Aveyron, and together with the history surrounding the trail to Santiago de Compostella, and the ancient and stunning village of Conques it makes the area a fascinating place to visit.
For the active there are a wide range of pursuits including some of the best fishing in Europe (river and lake) in a setting, and at prices that seem laughable when compared to the UK. The area is a cycling, mountain biking, walking, horse riding paradise and is included in a number of famous cycle races including the Paris-Nice and Tour de France.(not every year).

Produce and Cookery Seminar

This seminar will allow you to observe and participate in the research and preparation required to produce professional restaurant standard food. Our award winning master Chef Wilson Coilliot will demonstrate various techniques of preparing local produce to the highest standard. Wilson is fluent in French and competent in English.

Various disciplines will be explored during the 3 day seminar including duck, fish and regional cheeses. This seminar includes visits to local producers. 

This seminar is three days and two nights (an extra night B & B can be added for those travelling from distance. See reservation and booking) It includes breakfast, evening meal, tuition and the producer visits.

The cost is 400 euros per person in a single room or 650 euros per person for two people sharing a double room.
